Sunday School

Sunday School exists to reach people for Christ and disciple them to be like Christ. We invite you to come and get to know us and more importantly know the God who made you and loves you.

Nursery through age 4 meets in the Annex to the Sanctuary, Kindergarten through Grades 5 meets in the Family Life Center upstairs classrooms. Our youth have their own building now in the back left of the complex. We are blessed with facilities, great teachers and most of all a wonderful Lord whom we serve. You and your children will be welcomed, loved and taught God’s Word.

The Torchbearers taught by Pastor Jerry Mattheiss meets in the lower level of the sanctuary behind the office. They are a mixed age and growing group. Next to them is Adult 3, taught by Clint Cartner. At the end of the hall is Adult 7, a single ladies class, taught by Margaret Coyle and Brenda Hardin. In the Family Life Center’s fellowship hall is a young adult class taught by Scott Sherrill. Also downstairs we have Adult 4, taught by Ray Catoe. Upstairs, John Coyle and Chris Belcher teach Adult 2, another young adult class. Next to him is Adult 5 taught by Jerry Rodgers. At the corner near the exit to the sanctuary is Adult 9, our great group of seniors, taught by Pastor Don Greene.

Each class is encouraged to send out people to visit each week and invite them to come. Class parties and ministry projects to help others add to the excitement.

“Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”(Ps.119:105). Without it you are stumbling and hurting yourself. Joshua 1:8 tells us to meditate on the Word day and night to make our way prosperous and have good success. Jesus warned, “Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God”(Mt.22:29). He also said “He that heareth my word and believeth on Him that sent me hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death into life”(Jn.5:24) His Word is spirit and life! Without it you will not have faith nor real life!

Please join us each Sunday at 9:15 a.m. and pursue real life.
